Co-sourcing

Co-sourcing as a partnership, using an incremental, iterative software development process.

In a co-sourcing model, Xume manages the project jointly with the client, handles (part of) the development and offers extensive supporting services (project management, analysis, architecture, development, etc.). Xume sees co-sourcing as a partnership, in which the consultants and the client search together for a solution, which they also implement jointly.

Knowledge sharing is crucial in this, and through close cooperation, the client is very closely involved in the project, and can monitor the process, retains control and adds to the in-house store of knowledge. If the customer has its own project team available, Xume offers added value by training the client's project team and ensuring that the client can ultimately use and modify the project itself.

In order to give concrete form to co-sourcing, and put the objectives into practice successfully, Xume develops co-sourcing projects using an incremental, iterative software development process (SCRUM). The process enables results to be achieved fast and in a focused way, which is also transparent for the client, with minimal overhead. These characteristics are extremely suitable to achieve the objectives of the co-sourcing model. Xume makes certified experts available, in order to implement this development process correctly for each project, and to support the client with this methodology.
