Java™ software developer / Java™ technical architect

Since 2001 Java™ and open source specialist Xume offers to its customers extensive expertise for the architecture and development of software through consultancy or via the co-sourcing model. As Software Solution Providers we strive not only to implement projects, but primarily to assist our clients to create complete solutions. Our services don't only include the technical elaboration (technical architecture and development), but also leading and guiding teams, coaching and training, auditing, enterprise and solution architecture, business and functional analysis, IT management, etc.

To meet the increasing demands of our customers, we are now looking for experienced Java™ experts to join our team. And we don’t express experience just in terms of years of work experience: both senior experts and young potentials are most welcome to join us. We analyze together with you where you are now, and what your goals are.

Your profile

  • You are a graduated engineer or computer scientist (or equivalent by experience)
  • You are a Java™ expert with some years of proven hands-on experience in Java™ software development and/or architecture. Scala also figuratively sounds like music to your ears, even though you might not have experienced it yet.
  • Refactoring, clean code, test-driven development and continuous integration... nothing new there for you.
  • Agile development and SCRUM are your cup of tea, and to you go hand in hand with good software design and architecture.
  • You are fascinated by architecture topics such as API and service design, DSL, DDD, IoC, SOA & REST, SSO, Web 2.0 & 3.0, SaaS and the Cloud, EAI.
  • You think modularity, scalability and reliability are not nice-to-haves.
  • Data storage to you is not only SQL, an OS is not only Microsoft Windows.
  • The quality of the work you deliver is important: you are a craftsman and you follow the evolution in technology closely.
  • You are eager to learn, you motivate yourself, you have responsibility and you operate well in a team.
  • You get things done.
  • You are bilingual Dutch/English and you hold a driving license B.
